Well, I suppose I’m adding “Blogger” to the long list of things that I am. That list also includes Mama, Wife, Teacher, Entrepreneur, Healthy Living Coach, Animal Lover, Bravo TV watcher, Ordained Minister, Photographer, Sushi lover, Recovering Type A (now B+), Lemon Water drinker and Friend. Among others.
I don’t know what it is about writing, but it has become one of my favorite things lately. It softens me. It helps me to give myself and others grace. It helps me to keep from judging myself to the point of self destruction. Anyway, I’m so thankful to be launching this blog so that I can share some (what I call) Heart Things with you. I’ve learned that sharing your heart with someone is one of the bravest, most vulnerable things you can do. It’s also super liberating. It helps us live authentically. And isn’t that what we all want? Authenticity? Realness? That gut wrenching, make you sweat, feel so hard kind of genuine…ness? Is that a word?
Anyway, here we are.
Grace Grit Love sums up what I’m all about. Grace for myself and others (because good HEAVENS we all need it every day). Grit – for the hard moments in life where you have to just dig in and do it. Love. Because well, it literally never fails. These three things are the umbrella… no, rainbow, that have walked over me as I’ve started on a journey of self love, discovery and acceptance. Because what can we give the next generation if we never heal ourselves?
This blog will be full of alllll the things. Some amazing, some really difficult. And then all the things in between. I’ll tell my stories (and would LOVE to hear yours), share about things, places and people I love, talk about lessons I’m learning along the way. And duh, my favorite outfits and makeup and books and products.
